This material consists of expandable plastic beads with recycled plastic content. Once expanded, the beads are moulded in large blocks or used for other moulded parts. Products made with it can be used for the construction of roads, on- and off-ramps on bridges, overpasses, and more. It can also be found in the composition of parts used as components, insulation boards, packaging, insulated containers and many more.
BIODEGRADABLE EXPANDED POLYSTYRENE
This material is specially designed to decompose after 267 days when buried underground. It is very similar to regular expanded polystyrene (EPS), but it allows some industries to develop products where biodegradability is critical. It can be found in some insulated containers.
100% RECYCLED EXPANDED POLYSTYRENE
This EPS is made of 100% recycled plastic. It is mostly used in the manufacturing of blocks intended for hot-wiring cut into packaging parts. This type of EPS can also be used as temporary protection: for example, as a separator between parts needing to be moved using a forklift.
